Brooklyn, New York.WHITE WAVE will be hosting and producing the COOL NY 2011 DANCE Festival, celebrating the 8th consecutive year of the company's annual winter dance showcase. Featuring the works of 64 contemporary dancemakers, all performances in this two-week long extravaganza will take place at the John Ryan Theater, located at 25 Jay Street, DUMBO, Brooklyn. The Festival's kick-off celebration is COOL NY 2011 DANCE FESTIVAL OPENING NIGHT BENEFIT (tickets are $30); all other festival performances will be presented to the public FREE of charge.

Thompson, Otis Donovan Herring, Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance, Enzo Celli-Botega Dance Company, Next Reflex Dance Collective and WHITE WAVE Young Soon Kim Dance Company followed by a wine and cheese reception.

The Highlight of the COOL NEW YORK DANCE FESTIVAL is A Day for the Family in which WHITE WAVE offers FREE family friendly matinees featuring works of WHITE WAVE's youth-oriented programs, as well as selected companies whose work exemplifies an entertaining, educational experience for all ages!
